“I am Stephen Rosa, Senior Manager within SABIC, and former Chairman of the Board of the Launch Lab Regional Innovation Center, a government supported not-for-profit network of resources mandated to guide entrepreneurs across Eastern Ontario. Michael has had a diverse and distinguished career, both as a self-motivated associate within private business, and as an entrepreneur. He built a private company from concept in to a thriving business serving both small and large corporations, which he scaled globally such that his products were used and available in every free nation in the world. He has led fundamental, successful turnarounds in several North American businesses as an independent executive advisor.
Most recently, Michael led our Regional Innovation Center for a seven year period, retiring from the position earlier this year. I watched Michael transform the organization from a largely dysfunctional and ineffective entity in to a highly effective, well respected and successful enterprise, in spite of significant challenges and, at times, weighty adversity. Michael demonstrated adaptability as a creative visionary, in dealing with the required changes necessary to turn the organization around. He brings an imaginative, collaborative approach, is able to bridge significant gaps to find synergies between organizations which typically are not found, and he brings an executive presence that has reflected very positively on the Launch Lab R.I.C.. Michael has left the organization as a strong community partner with a solid reputation and with myriad alliances and partnerships, many of which were not even conceived when he arrived on the scene.
I believe that Michael Mann, with his skills and experience, can help any struggling organization make the difficult turns toward success, and can help any organization thrive, even in difficult circumstances.
